I know it's not Christmas...

BUT, I have to post this Christmas song on the blog.  Jane and I love the musical group The Piano Guys.  They are coming in concert to Modesto, CA this weekend, but we will be out of town!  I so wish they were coming another weekend.  This arrangement of "O Come Emmanuel" by The Piano Guys really touched my heart today.

May 2013:: Kuhni Family Beach Trip Day Six

On the last day of the trip, we spent the day at the beach.  We parked John and Jane under a lifeguard tower while the rest of us played sand volleyball, boogie boarded and surfed.  I am sad to say we have no pictures of our epic volleyball tourney, but it was a riot.  We played boys versus girls, and we girls almost won!  We even were wearing all black, just like a legitimate team.  It was so fun to play with my sisters.

Later in the evening, Toby headed down to T-Street in San Clemente (a popular surf beach), and surfed and boogie boarded with my Dad, Carson, and Matt Blaser.  Randi, Amelia, Jane, John and I road our bikes down to meet them.  John and Jane cuddled the whole way.  Janie wasn't too happy about being in the bike trailer, but John comforted her and made her feel better about it.  We got to swing on the swings and watch the boys surf.

We ended the night all talking about the fun we had on the trip.  It all went so fast!  We were the first to leave the next morning at 6 am and didn't get to say goodbye to anyone except my Mom and Dad.

We had such a wonderful time and can't wait until the next trip!!

May 2013:: Kuhni Family Beach Trip Day Five

Day Five brought us to.... DISNEYLAND!  The last time the Kuhni Family ventured to Disneyland was circa 1997.  We aren't really amusement park people.  But with so many little kiddos in the family, we just couldn't resist!

The day started out at the "Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique."  It was epic.  The older girls, and my nephew Jonas got all decked out for the day -- the girls as the princesses of their choice, and Jonas as a handsome knight.  It was so much fun to watch.  They were are extremely serious about their makeovers.  I can't wait to take Jane for her special princess day when she is old enough.

Little Genevieve LOVED her hair.  We were all worried she would hate it.  The general consensus was that she looked a little more like the wicked step-mother than a princess.  We don't know what the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique was thinking with the "Disney Diva"hairdo.  But she LOVED it.  She carried her hairpiece around with her for the rest of the week and insisted she wear it each day.

Janie girl LOVED Disneyland along with her older cousins.  We spent the day tagging along with John, Randi and Matt.  We also did a few rides with Grandma, Grandpa, the Woolley's and the Meyer's.  Jane was big enough to go on It's a Small World, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and the Carousel.  She loved it.

My parents were kind enough to take little John Boy and Jane back home in the early evening so Matt, Randi, Toby and I could party the night away at the Magic Kingdom.  It was so much fun.  We rode Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Star Tours.  Camie and Carson came back to hang with us for the last hour the park was open, but by that point, all of our favorite rides were strangely broken.  It was super fun, regardless of the break downs.  What a magical day!  Thanks Mom and Dad!

May 2013:: Kuhni Family Beach Trip Day Four

On day four of the trip, Jess and Cam and their families took off to do some activities in the area.  Me, Tobe and Jane and Randi, Matt and John-boy stayed to hang with Grandma and Grandpa.  We decided to take a bike ride with the babies to Dana Point Harbor -- Grandpa and the babies led the way.  John and Jane make great trailer-mates.

That evening, we all reconvened at the beach house for a cousin's party!  It was so fun.  We decided we should celebrate all the grandkids' birthdays since we are never together to celebrate.  Randi and I bought a rainbow birthday cake (huge hit with the girls), we roasted hot dogs over the fire, and played on the beach.  It was a great party, and a wonderful day.

May 2013:: Kuhni Family Beach Trip Day Three

Day three started with everyone on the beach at 6:00 am.  We couldn't wait.  Jane was one of the last of the kiddos to roll out of bed (6:30 am) -- they were all too excited to stay in their beds.  We played and played and played on the beach all day.

Grandma and Grandpa were kind enough to watch all of the kiddos while the adults went out to dinner.  We stopped at a local joint called Chronic Tacos.  Their fish tacos are a HUGE hit with the Kuhni fam.  We then stopped off for dessert at Cold Stone with the Meyers.  It was so much fun to be out with all of my sisters and their husbands.  Being from a family of girls is the best.  I wish I lived closer to all of them.

 Amelia is a beach babe.
